HEY. I’M GLAD YOU’RE HERE.

STARTING THERAPY CAN BE INTIMIDATING, SO I’LL GO FIRST:

Here are some of my values within the therapeutic relationship

  • Safety - Feeling safe in the room is a priority for me in my relationship with my clients. To be able to make progress, clients must feel safe and secure enough to openly share how they are struggling without fear of judgement. Through this rapport building, a real relationship is formed, and growth begins to happen.

  • Fostering Autonomy - My job is to work myself out of a job. I desire for my clients to feel a sense of self efficacy and pride in their progress that leads them to knowing what the next right step can be in their life. I love partnering with clients as they find their way; cheering them on for as long as they need me.

  • Developing Self - The greatest gift in working with clients for almost a decade has been seeing them learn to be gentle with themselves as they foster a true friendship with all parts of self, even on their worst days.

A little about me:

  • My personal life is mostly family time with my husband and our two boys. Lots of sports, movie nights, meals together, board games, being goofy, and spending time with cousins.

  • I hold a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management. The journey from there to here has been unexpected and full of twists, but looking back, it all makes perfect sense.

  • I spent a few years working overseas in community development, partnering with rural farmers. That experience taught me two valuable lessons: 1. Listening is the key to wisdom, and 2. People often know what they need, but sometimes just lack the right resources. If I can be a resource for someone, just as others have been for me, it feels like a true gift.

  • I truly enjoy connecting with my clients, getting to know not just the challenges they face, but also the lighter, more fun moments. When it feels right, I’ll share bits of my own life too. My goal is for my clients to feel that I’m not just a professional doing a job, but a real person walking alongside them on their journey.
